Not colonel sanders

[edit]

The picture on this page is not Colonel Harland Sanders. It's a look-a-like. 2600:1014:B003:9B1D:A1BB:65D:7AC3:790E (talk) 04:57, 23 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Was this correct, and if so, is the picture there today (November 26 2024) a different, and authentic, one? Roryharrow (talk) 22:48, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can tell, the current photo is just a cropped version of the one that was in place when this comment was made. I wouldn't read too much into a comment without any further explanation by an anonymous user, though. For what it's worth, his ears are quite distinctive looking, and they match other photos I could find on google image search. EditorInTheRye (talk) 07:47, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

1930–1952: later career

[edit]

"It was during this period that Sanders was involved in a shootout with Matt Stewart, a local competitor, over the repainting of a sign directing traffic to his station."

Directing traffic to whose station, Sanders's or Stewart's? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Roryharrow (talkcontribs) 22:38, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stewart killed a Shell employee who was with Sanders. and was convicted of murder, eliminating Sanders's competition.

Change period after Sanders to a comma. 2605:A601:A938:A800:790F:A2DC:6D87:E2D1 (talk) 14:22, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: I think it works better grammatically to lose that punctuation altogether, which I have done. Thanks for the catch. DrOrinScrivello (talk) 15:08, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

"What's My Line?" appearance

[edit]

He appeared as a normal contestant on the show on the episode aired December 1, 1963, before he became popular and famous as the founder and owner of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Would this be notable enough to include in the article, or no? 68.49.126.217 (talk) 06:18, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
